THE TARJAN LAW FIRM

Joshua Tarjan received his J.D. from CUNY Law School in New York City, the nation’s number one public interest law school, where he focused on criminal defense and prisoners’ rights litigation. Upon graduation, Josh was an Assistant Public Defender at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office for four and a half years, with numerous cases taken to trial with successful verdicts.

Since starting his law firm in 2018, Josh has handled a wide variety of matters, including foreclosure defense, business transactions and immigration (asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile status). His main practice focuses on personal injury, civil rights, criminal defense, and probate (guardianships, wills and estates).

Until recently, May 2023, Josh was a board member of the Greater Miami Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and co-chair of the chapter’s Legal Panel.​
